Where are you located?
9 Barclay Drive, Casuarina NSW which is 15 minutes south of Gold Coast Airport and 30 minutes north of Byron Bay.
What level surfer do I need to be?
Group sessions cater for a wide variety of ability levels - from surfers who have just started trimming down the line, through to surfers performing committed manoeuvres. Our main requirement is that you can paddle yourself out the back and catch waves without any assistance from a coach in the water. Feel free to get in touch on (02) 6671 0000 to discuss your ability level with our team.
What is the schedule for the day?
- 08.30am: Surfing session
- 11.00am: Video analysis
- 12.00am: Skateboard training session
- 12.30pm: Session ends
I have friends who want to join me, can I share the session with them?
Yes. We offer a 10% discount for groups of 4 surfers and a 15% discount for groups of 5 surfers. Alternatively, you can book a Full Day Private Session which includes a second surfing session with video analysis and a strength and a conditioning session.
I'm also considering a camp, what's the difference?
The coaching services you receive on both options are similar but camps are more intensive with 2 surfing sessions each day. 3 and 5 day camps also include strength and conditioning sessions.
Where will we surf?
Our coaches will always try to find the most suitable waves for coaching on the Tweed Coast which has plenty of options for different wind and swell directions. Sessions generally run at Casuarina, Cabarita, Kingscliff or Hastings Point but we can also access Duranbah, Snapper Rocks and Kirra.
What happens if there's no surf?
If we're not confident that conditions will allow us to get coaching outcomes, you will receive a full credit to reschedule for another session within the next 12 months.
Do I need to bring a board?
You will have full access to our demo quiver with 50 surfboards but we still recommend bringing at least 1 board so your coach can review what you normally ride.
What time does the day start and finish?
8.30am to 12.30pm NSW time (please note NSW time is 1 hour ahead of QLD time during daylight savings).
What is the best time of year to come?
The Tweed Coast offers great surf conditions year-round but we find February to August the most consistent.
Can I add accommodation to my booking?
Yes, we have accommodation available onsite. Get in touch with us to confirm availability and pricing.
